Effectiveness of self-instructional module on knowledge regarding polycystic ovarian syndrome among adolescent girls at selected area in Madurai

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is an endocrine disorder which affects the adolescent girls. It has been found through studies that it 5% to 10% of women in their reproductive years. Objectives: To assess knowledge girls on poly cystic before self-instructional module. find difference between pre and post test scores module polycystic among effectiveness terms gain posttest score. association with selected demographic variables.Methodology: The study was conducted Adolescent data collected from 60 samples Vikram College Nursing. Descriptive survey research approach adopted analyzed by using descriptive inferential statistics.Results: Distribution characteristics revealed 81.6% were age group 16- 18 year, 88.3% Hindus,83.3 % nuclear family 63.3% sample rural areas. 86.7% have inadequate during pretest 76.6% having adequate regarding PCOS.
